Sudbury Rain Garden Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

WHEN: Friday, June 12, 2026, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

WHERE: Bruce Freeman Rail Trail at Morse Road, Sudbury, MA

OARS 3 Rivers, in partnership with the Town of Sudbury, Sudbury Conservation Department, A Yard & A Half, and local community volunteers, invites you to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Sudbury Rain Garden along the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail.

This new rain and pollinator garden is a nature-based solution designed to help reduce stormwater runoff, improve water quality, recharge groundwater, and provide habitat for native pollinators. Located along a highly visible community trail, the project also serves as an educational demonstration site highlighting how green infrastructure can help communities build resilience to climate change while enhancing public spaces.

The event will include brief remarks from project partners, a ribbon cutting, and opportunities to learn more about the role rain gardens play in protecting local rivers and ecosystems.
