Join acclaimed author Leila Philip for a talk and book signing celebrating her work Beaver land. In this fascinating book, Philip explores how the beaver—this “weird rodent with four orange teeth, humanoid hands, poor eyesight, and a paddle for a tail”—has played an outsized role in American history and continues to shape our environmental and economic future.

 

Philip is the author of several award-winning nonfiction books, a contributing columnist for The Boston Globe, and a professor at the College of the Holy Cross.
