EVENT OVERVIEW

Join us for a fun-filled evening at OARS’ Boats and Brews event! This special gathering celebrates our incredible volunteers who work tirelessly to protect and restore our rivers. The evening kicks off with a relaxing paddle along the Assabet River, followed by a gathering at the Medusa Brewery Beer Garden for some well-deserved brews, food, and live music.

PADDLE DETAILS

Paddle Start Time: 5:00 PM (the paddle will begin promptly at 5 PM)

Launch Location: Hudson Assabet River Canoe/Kayak Launch (behind the Hudson Fire Station, 1 Washington Street, Hudson, MA)

Paddle Duration: 1 hour through the beautiful river impoundment

Activities: Enjoy Medusa beers, a full menu of food options, and live music starting at 6:30 PM

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Registration: Advance registration is required, and a waiver must be signed (built into the registration process)

Bring Your Own Boat: Limited parking is available at the put-in. Overflow parking is available behind the Medusa Brewery at 29 South Street Hudson. For overflow parking, drop your boat at the put-in, then park behind Medusa Brewery

Capacity: Limited to 20 cars at the launch, so up to 50 paddlers can join

Volunteers and Members: This event is open to OARS volunteers, members, and the general public. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow river stewards and support OARS

SPECIAL OFFERINGS

Drink Tickets: Volunteers will receive a pre-paid drink ticket

Fundraiser: A portion of the proceeds from select beer and menu items will go towards supporting the SuAsCo rivers through OARS

Come out and show your appreciation for the hard work of our volunteers while enjoying a scenic paddle and some great brews. Let’s raise a glass to the health of our rivers!
