ACTION ALERT: Protect Our Rivers and Water Supplies During Drought!
February 20, 2025
Massachusetts is facing more frequent and severe droughts, putting our rivers and water supplies at risk. The Drought Bill (HD.1423/SD.1668) will modernize drought management in Massachusetts, helping to ensure our rivers have the water they need to sustain fish, wildlife, and communities.
Last session, the Drought Bill made historic progress, passing the Senate. Now, we need to push it forward again.
We’re joining our partners at Mass Rivers in calling on our legislators to take action.
Please take just 5 minutes to help protect our rivers!
Step 1: Find your state representative here
Step 2: Send them an email urging them to co-sponsor the Drought Bill

Strong drought protections mean healthier rivers, sustainable water supplies, and better resilience in a changing climate. Your voice makes a difference! Let’s make sure our legislators know how much we value the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord rivers.
